Tonight, I was on my way to pick up a ride when I found myself tailing some cops with their lights on. As I was following them, they turned into the parking lot that my GPS indicated I needed to go to (which was at a Jack-in-the-Box). I followed them in but turned away and parked on the other side.
In the parking lot, a topless woman was running around,
laughing and dancing as a man was trying to grab her. Because she was laughing,
I assumed the man was a boyfriend or husband, or someone related to her. She
did not appear to be in any distress, just a state of undress. The police got
out said something (with their hands on their guns) to the man but I had my
windows up. I rolled mine down and heard the man screaming, “She’s with me!
She’s drunk!”
The three of them finally managed to apprehend the
frenetic young woman. The officers looked to arrest her but after some
discussion they put her in the back of what I guess was the man’s car and then
they drove away.
My passenger was the manager at the Jack-in-the-Box who
had just finished his shift. He told me that the woman had been hanging outside
of the car, waving her tatas for all the world to see as the man was driving.
He pulled into the Jack-in-the-Box parking lot to try and get her back in the
car. Someone who had seen the spectacle on the road had called the police on
them and that’s why the cops had shown up.
The police told the man that if he could keep her in the
car and take her home then that would be OK and they could go on their way
without being ticketed or arrested. The man was apparently sober and the woman
was very apparently not. The manager had to finish his report with the police
before I could drive him home.
I didn’t mind waiting. I was just glad to find out that
the woman was not my passenger.
